Joseph Electronics Recertified on LEMO 3K.93C SMPTE HDTV Cable Assemblies

Joseph Electronics, a provider of fiber terminations and custom fiber solutions, has been officially recertified by LEMO to build and repair SMPTE 311M fiber-optic cable assemblies with the LEMO 3K.93C hybrid connectors. Its fiber division, Joseph Fiber Solutions (JFS), is one of just five authorized certified assemblers in the U.S.

“When the factory trusts our lab, equipment, and technicians’ capability to output consistent SMPTE assemblies, the end user is assured for zero defects coming out of our lab,” says Joseph Electronics President/CEO Yohay Hahamy. “We invest heavily in training, communication, and lab gear to continue and produce the best LEMO-based SMPTE assemblies in the market.”

The LEMO 3K.93C hybrid connectors have a compact design with two single-mode fiber contacts, two power contacts, and two signal contacts for HD-camera interconnection systems. The LEMO 3K.93C is fully compliant with ANSI/SMPTE (USA), ARIB (Japan), and EBU (Europe) standards. JFS has achieved the highest level of technical excellence in attaining LEMO-certified SMPTE-cable assembler status.

“The fact that less than one handful of labs nationally have this level of factory certification speaks volumes of our lab, commitment to our industry, and ability of our technicians,” says Hahamy. “When the chips are down, one can trust the JFS/Joseph Electronics Fiber lab to get the SMPTE LEMO assemblies right from the lab to the venue site correctly, period.”
