PromaxBDA Station Summit: Ross Video, FX Design Group, Mo-Sys Show Off Dynamic Augmented Reality

At PromaxBDA Station Summit, Ross Video’s Creative Services team, Rocket Surgery, together with FX Design Group and Mo-Sys have recreated Las Vegas’ famed pedestrian mall and attraction, the Fremont Street Experience, within the Mirage Hotel through Dynamic Augmented Reality. The Fremont Street Experience demonstration pairs Ross Video’s XPression render engine, Furio robotics, and ACIDcam cameras together with Mo-Sys’ StarTracker camera tracking technology.

“The sheer creativity and professionalism of the team at FX Design Group make this partnership decision a no-brainer.” says Jim Doyle, Mission Commander and Director of Creative Services for Rocket Surgery, a Ross Creative Services division. “Rocket Surgery is always very excited to work with this talented group. As well, it’s very gratifying to work again with StarTracker’s developer, Gary Attanasio, and the rest of the Mo-Sys team to bring system tracking to life.”

FX Design Group with its motion design division, Giant Octopus, developed the design content for this demonstration, premiering in the Ross Video and FX Design Group demo booth located on the PromaxBDA Station Summit main concourse.

“This is an exciting development in our relationship with Ross Video and Mo-Sys that utilizes the power of XPression and StarTracker to bring our designs to life in a way previously not possible.” says Mack McLaughlin, CEO and Creative Director of FX Design Group. “In recreating the Fremont Street Experience at the PromaxBDA Station Summit, we are showing new and innovative ways to present design that both complements and augments the real world.”
