Daktronics Receives 2017 Allied Member Achievement Award at IDEA Conference in Philadelphia

At the Information Display and Entertainment Association (IDEA) Conference last month in Philadelphia, Daktronics walked away with the 2017 Allied Member Achievement Award. Daktronics has attended the conference for 30 years dating back to 1987.

This year marks the 13th time Daktronics has been honored with this award since its inception in 1993. The member-selected award and recognizes a current Allied IDEA member organization for industry innovation and support of both IDEA and the large screen video and matrix display industries.

“We’re extremely honored to have received this award during the GMA Awards Ceremony at the 2017 IDEA Convention,” says Sarah Rose, Daktronics Vice President of Services. “This award is an acknowledgment of our commitment to the advancement of the display industry and our ongoing commitment to our customers.”

The IDEA Convention started on July 9 with the Annual Daktronics Video Summit to cover a wide range of topics from services resources to data integration to control systems as well as Daktronics Professional Services offerings to help customers make the most of the display investment. Daktronics hosted a showcase to dig deeper into control solutions and their features.

The convention itself was attended by a record 580 people gathering to take in sessions, workshops and user groups to learn and share knowledge for the advancement of the digital display industry. This year, it included an evening at Citizens Bank Ballpark, home to the Philadelphia Phillies, to see their displays and allow attendees to take part in a home run contest among other activities.
