Monumental Sports Network Partners With Kiswe Mobile to Provide Personalized Viewer Experience for Fans

Monumental Sports Network, a direct-to-fan digital regional sports network, has partnered with interactive video streaming platform Kiswe Mobile to provide fans with enhanced in-game viewing perspectives and video content. Utilizing various points-of-view camera angles during live-stream games from sideline to courtside, the technology integration allows for a more interactive, social and personalized viewer experience. The premiere of this social video app is the first of its kind to be used by a regional sports network platform.
The end-to-end interactive cloud streaming will be fully integrated within Monumental Sports Network’s mobile apps available on both iOS and Android devices, allowing subscribers to select their preferred viewing method while watching their favorite Washington Mystics, Washington Valor, Baltimore Brigade games, as well as high school games and other events streamed on the network.

“We’re thrilled to bring Kiswe’s video streaming experience to our subscribers, allowing the viewers to decide exactly how they want to watch their favorite D.C.-area teams,” says Zach Leonsis, Monumental Sports Network Vice President and General Manager. “Monumental’s continuously expanding tech partnerships are what make our Network so unique.”

“We are excited to partner with Monumental to bring interactive innovations to one of the leading regional sports networks in the nation,” says Mike Schabel, Kiswe Mobile CEO.

Network fans will have the opportunity to engage with their favorite teams and chat with fellow fans all via the Monumental Sports Network app, which will also allow them to capture and replay their favorite moments with clips that can be shared on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and more.

The Network’s tech collaboration with Kiswe, powered by the brand’s SDK integrated into ViewLift’s Platform, comes on the heels of several recent tech partnerships across various sports, all aimed at bringing fans closer to their favorite teams and games than ever before. The Network has enhanced its streaming capabilities with technology, including live gaming coverage from the 2017 E3 Sports Zone, integrating wearable camera technology with ActionStreamer, behind-the-scenes access and fan-to-athlete interaction through social media platform Greenfly and more.

Regional and national sports fans alike can access live games and original programming when they become subscribers of Monumental Sports Network, which provides on-demand access to the season’s big ticket games through the Network’s website and app, available on iOS, Android, Roku, FireTV, Apple TV, XBox One, and more.

In addition to using Kiswe to customize their game experience, fans can expect continuing live-stream game coverage for the Washington Mystics, Washington Valor and Baltimore Brigade, along with new on-demand content all summer long.
