Through a partnership with The Switch, PGA TOUR Entertainment has made a major transmission change
For decades, major golf tournaments were transmitted for broadcast via satellite due the logistical nature of broadcasting from vast courses in remote areas typically only once per year. This year, however, PGA TOUR Entertainment has moved to a new fiber-based system from venues through a partnership with The Switch.
David Dukes, Senior Director-Technical Operations at PGA TOUR Entertainment spoke with us about the solution at the 2017 Sports Content Management and Storage Forum in NYC.
