IBC 2017: Evertz enables IP Interoperability at IBC 2017

Evertz has announced its participation in the IP Showcase at IBC 2017.  At IBC Evertz will demonstrate its commitment to IP technologies with in-depth demonstrations of its Software Defined Video Networking (SDVN) range of IP solutions.

The company’s  SDVN demonstrations are supporting the IP Showcase’s mission to demonstrate that IP-based technologies in the media industry are no longer a distant reality but available here and now. In addition, the IP Showcase promotes a unified industry approach to IP technology that encourages vendor interoperability through industry standards.

Evertz is participating with more than 50 other vendors in the IP Showcase, featuring IP solutions with interoperability based on SMPTE ST 2110 and AMWA IS-04 and IS-05. This unifying set of standards will streamline inter-vendor interoperability, simplifying systems integration, as broadcasters update their facilities with new IP infrastructures.  The IP Showcase demonstrations will simulate real world applications with workflows that emulate live production, contribution and playout signal flows.

At the IP Showcase, Evertz will feature interoperability with the upcoming SMPTE ST 2110 standard  with its IP media gateways (570IPG-X19-10G and 7890MG), IP multiviewers (3067VIP10G-3G-HW), IP-based Grand Master Clock and Video Master Sync Generator (5700MSC-IP), the DreamCatcher IP-based Live Production Suite and OvertureRT LIVE IP Integrated Playout solution. In addition, MAGNUM, Evertz’ SDVN Orchestration and Control platform, will showcase support of AMWA IS-04 and IS-05 for registration, discovery, and connection management of network devices.

“Broadcast facilities, utilising Evertz SDVN IP infrastructures have been deployed since 2014,” said Fernando Solanes, director of solutions at Evertz Technologies. “Our support for emerging standards including SMPTE ST 2110 and AMWA IS-04 and IS-05 will ensure both interoperability with existing facilities and an orderly transition to IP based workflows as broadcasters update their infrastructures.”
The Evertz booth is located in 1.D31 and 1.F29. The IP showcase is located in Room E106.
