Telemundo Deportes Covers FIFA Interactive World Cup 2017

Telemundo Deportes presented exclusive coverage of the FIFA Interactive World Cup 2017, an annual Esports competition to crown the best EA SPORTS FIFA player in the world (Aug. 16-18) live from London. Telemundo Deportes carried the full three-day competition live, in English and Spanish, across its digital platforms including the Telemundo Deportes En Vivo app, and its Facebook page and YouTube channel. In addition, the Final Showdownaired live on Universo on Aug. 18.

Since 2010, the FIFA Interactive World Cup has been officially recognized by the Guinness World Records Gamers Edition as the biggest gaming tournament featuring participants form around the globe. This is the 13th edition of the FIFA Interactive World Cup and the first time ever that all rounds of the tournament will be streamed on both English and Spanish in the U.S.

This month, Telemundo Deportes is also offering exclusive Spanish-language coverage of NBC Sports Group and FACEIT’s Universal Open Rocket League esports tournament, a 2v2 competition featuring Rocket League video game. This is the first event of its kind to be covered in Spanish-language for the U.S. audience. The Grand Finals will be streamed live on the Telemundo Deportes En Vivo app on August 26-27. The culmination of the tournament will feature 16 total teams competing for the inaugural title and a $100,000 prize pool.
