CBS Sports, Army Extend Multi-Year Partnership Through 2022

CBS Sports and Army have announced a multi-year deal that extends their partnership through 2022. As part of the agreement, CBS Sports Network will continue to televise all Army home football games. CBS Sports Network will televise seven Army football games in 2017. The network will also have the option to televise additional football games through the Patriot League, as well as select Army lacrosse and basketball games.

“Army remains one of the cornerstones of our college sports coverage at CBS Sports and extending this partnership was an important priority,” says Dan Weinberg, EVP of Programming, CBS Sports. “We value the tradition and prestige that this relationship brings to CBS and look forward to further showcasing the programs of this unique and wonderful institution.”

“We couldn’t be more excited to extend our partnership with CBS Sports Network,” says Boo Corrigan, Director of Athletics at the United States Military Academy. “We feel they provide a tremendous narrative each week coast to coast, telling not only the story of our football team’s performance on the field but everything that surrounds the best setting for college football in the country. I’d like to thank Sean McManus, David Berson and Dan Weinberg for their leadership in helping to ensure that CBS Sports Network remains the home of Army football for the next five years.”

Army football continues to be a major part of CBS Sports, as earlier this year, CBS Sports and Army-Navy agreed to an all-encompassing 10-year deal extending its broadcast, cable and digital rights for the game through 2028. CBS Sports Network will televise extensive shoulder programming, including live on-site coverage of the MARCH ON as part of official pre-game coverage. The deal also kept the annual Army-Navy basketball showdown on CBS Sports Network.

CBS Sports Network is available through all major cable, satellite and telco distributors as well as via OTT streaming service providers YouTube TV, fuboTV and Hulu.  Additionally, a live CBS Sports Network stream is available through CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports App by authenticating with select providers.
