The Patriot League, Stadium Partner to Televise 22 Over-the-Air Games This Fall

The Patriot League will televise 22 games on over-the-air (OTA) channels around the nation through the League’s partnership with Stadium this fall. Each of the games will also stream free and live on Patriot League Network (PLN) – PatriotLeague.TV and WatchStadium.com.  Along with being televised each of these Patriot League events will be distributed live on Twitter.

“This is another opportunity to provide more exposure for our institutions and student-athletes for a national and international audience,” says Jennifer Heppel, Patriot League Commissioner. “We are excited that our partnership with Stadium affords us these opportunities and look forward to continuing to explore new avenues to grow our brand.”

A total of seven Patriot League football games aired on Stadium and will continue to air through the end of the 2017 season. The games began when Georgetown hosted Harvard at RFK Stadium on Saturday, September 30. The eight-game schedule concludes when Bucknell travels to Fordham on Saturday, November 18, to wrap up the regular-season. Stadium will air six men’s soccer matches, five women’s soccer matches and four women’s volleyball matches throughout the fall. The Patriot League Championship Game for men’s soccer, women’s soccer and women’s volleyball will all be televised by Stadium, with one men’s and one women’s soccer semifinal matchup also being televised.

“We are thrilled to continue to offer new audience opportunities for the student-athletes, athletic departments and fans of our great partners at the Patriot League,” says Jason Coyle, CEO of Stadium. “With more than 30 million digital antennas in market across the country and millions who view broadcast television on cable looking for a modern day alternative to the traditional sports network, we are excited to bring this audience the live-game action that they cannot find anywhere else.”

To watch Stadium on television, viewers must purchase a standard OTA (over-the-air) antenna, widely available from online retailers and local electronic stores.

The Patriot League will provide more regular-season and championship coverage throughout the course of the 2017-18 athletic season. Viewers can access the 24/7 digital feed nationally via WatchStadium.com, Stadium iOS apps, the Twitter app on mobile and connected devices, or the OTT platform Pluto TV (Channel 207).  Stadium Android apps, as well as additional connected devices and distribution partners, will be released in the coming weeks.
