NAB NY 2017: SAM To Present VIBE News Production Solution, Go! Remote Production Editor

At the NAB Show New York, October 18-19, SAM (Booth #N637) will be presenting its VIBE News production solution together with Go!, the remote production editor that supports any format of video, fast editing, automated versioning, and multi-platform publishing. For live production, SAM will also demonstrate its multi-format Kahuna production switcher. SAM will also be showing the most trusted playout solution in the market, their ICE Channel-in-a-Box in conjunction with the new Morpheus UX GUI for automation.

SAM VIBE
SAM VIBE is a fast and reliable solution for delivering news content to all media platforms. It is a fully scalable ecosystem for news production that provides total coverage from a single production team. It integrates the Go! Production Suite to ensure that news outlets can access and edit content from anywhere, on a wide range of newsroom and mobile devices.

Go! is HTML-5 browser-based and enables “edit everywhere” capability with workflows optimized to quickly get breaking news out to social media and on the air. Remote live media can be viewed and edited with locally shot content, including  voice over. Combined with video and audio transitions, users can quickly and easily add the finesse they need to produce a news package suitable for broadcast and social media.

ICE Channel-in-a-Box and Morpheus Automation
ICE, SAM’s Channel-in-a-Box solution and Morpheus Automation will be on display to demonstrate how SAM meets the demands of delivering video content to more platforms and devices than ever before.

Morpheus now features a new Morpheus UX HTML-5 browser-based graphic user interface that facilitates deployment of a fully customizable control and monitoring UI for playout applications. ICE Channel-in-a-Box is now available in as software deployable system:  ICE SDC (Software Defined Channel). ICE SDC is the first software play-out solution that allows the deployment of a fully populated channel and can be deployed as a service either on premises, remotely deployed, or AWS public cloud.

Kahuna Production Switcher
SAM will demonstrate the Kahuna 9600 switcher with its totally modular control panel and will demonstrate the latest features to facilitate High Dynamic Range HDR production. Kahuna is the most powerful and flexible production switcher on the market today, based on its ability to take and switch among multi-formats of SD, 720p, 1080i, 1080p and UHD-1. Kahuna’s unique design easily accommodates SDI 3G and 12G signals alongside IP standards SMPTE ST-2022-6 and 2110. New FormatFusion4 accommodates any mix of PQ, HLG and Slog3 HDR standards and SDR both in and out.
