CABSAT 2018: Clear-Com To Show Latest IP Comms, Signal Transport Products

At CABSAT 2018, Clear-Com is presenting the enhanced LQ Series of IP interfaces that enable seamless connection between intercom systems over IP, as well as the acclaimed Agent-IC app that effectively turns Android and iOS devices into mobile intercom panels via WiFi or cellular networks. On display will also include Trilogy-branded Mentor RG sync and test pulse generator (SPG) and the Gemini matrix system. 2018 marks Clear-Com’s 50th anniversary, and the company will kick off its celebrations on Stand ZB6-B30 at CABSAT 2018.

LQ 4.0 now hosts Agent-IC mobile apps and SIP telephony
As a brand-agnostic interface platform, LQ Series interfaces use IP as the means to securely connect industry-standard brands of 2-wire and 4-wire intercom systems over IP networks. In addition, LQ interfaces third-party SIP/VoIP telephony and existing intercom systems, allowing intercom users to make direct telephone calls over connected SIP-based phone systems.

As versatile IP interface devices, LQ Series bridges traditional analog and digital partyline intercom systems with IP communications such as the Agent-IC. Up to eight licensed Agent-IC mobile app clients can be connected to each LQ device over WiFi or cellular networks, thus allowing intercom expansion easily and cost-effectively.

Agent-IC expands intercoms via mobile devices
Agent-IC, a free app available to download from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store, allows iOS or Android smartphones and tablets to operate as fully-featured mobile user panels when connected to any Clear-Com or third-party intercom brand over Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G and LTE networks. It provides point-to-point calling, point-to-multi-point group calling, partyline, PTT, local cross-point audio level control, and notification functions.

Trilogy Mentor RG provides accuracy and reliability
Building on several generations of proven Trilogy Sync and Test generators, the Mentor RG generates synchronized video, audio and timecode signals for broadcast purposes to an extremely accurate time signature, often provided by a GPS reference system, which is then passed on to the ‘mission critical’ automation system. The single box solution ensures absolute synchronization of multiple signals in any broadcast or professional media application.

Gemini brings flexibility to broadcast production
Gemini matrix intercom is a flexible, real-time intercom system that features comprehensive integrated IP capabilities together with interfaces to 4-wire circuits, telephony, AES/MADI, IP panels and SIP for analog or IP based solutions. The matrix intercom allows productions to simply and quickly initiate, conduct and manage conversations with simple user operations and intuitive configuration controls. Gemini supports a range of panels including desktop and rack mount lever key panels, touchscreen button panels, and Virtual panels for smartphones and tablets.
