The Studio-B&H and Panasonic Cinema will present an evening with acclaimed cinematographer William Wages, ASC for an exploration of his real-world production experience with VariCam 4K cinema cameras. On Tuesday Jan. 23, at the SVA Theater in New York City, Wages will tell how he captured upcoming feature film The Forgiven and will explain in practical detail how the VariCam LT in particular has changed his way of working (lighting, time savings, budget, etc.). Other topics to be covered include VariCam’s award-winning Dual Native ISO sensor technology as well as Wages’s recent testing of the new compact 5.7K AU-EVA1 cinema camera.

The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session and will conclude with hands-on time with the complete VariCam ecosystem, including the VariCam 35, the VariCam Pure, the VariCam LT, and the recent EVA1. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with the Panasonic and Studio–B&H digital-cinema teams and learn about various workflows, including the Panasonic and Codex V-RAW.

Wages has been nominated for eight ASC Awards and two Emmy Awards and is a recipient of the ASC Career Achievement in Television Award. He recently shot CMT Network’s Sun Records and The Forgiven (directed by Roland Joffé) with VariCam LT 4K cinema cameras.
