Wipster Provides Cloud-Based Platform for Sports-Content Creation

The Sports Video Group is pleased to welcome Wipster, a cloud-based collaboration, review, and publishing platform that enables sport organizations to produce up to three times more video content in half the time.

Used by MLB, NASCAR, and the Orlando Magic, Wipster is the primary postproduction-workflow tool for video content for live highlights, interviews, sponsored footage, and more. MLB teams in particular are using Wipster as they prepare for the start of baseball season and produce more and more video content to get fans excited for the season opener. Integrations with Slack, Adobe Premiere and After Effects, and other video tools make real-time collaboration between both video editors and reviewers frictionless.

Video plays a key role in keeping sports organizations engaged with the communities and fans that they serve; marketing teams rely on Wipster to help them store, tag, manage, and publish their media content so it can be used for updates, events, community involvement, and seasonal campaigns. With teams using video to engage audiences, fans get to be a part of the story whether they are at the games or not, and advertiser partners get additional exposure and value from sponsorships.

“Video is the cornerstone of sports media,” says VP, Marketing, Julia Farina. “It connects sports organizations to the larger community and allows individual fans to participate in a team’s story — whether they are in the seats or at home. We’re excited to join Sports Video Group to learn from this active community of professionals and to help them produce even more of the video content that their fans love.”

In 2017, H3 World TV streamed more than 60 videos over the course of the two weeks of the Summer Deaflympics 2017 Samsun in Turkey. Wipster was the cornerstone for the video and content teams to get on the ground footage in Turkey to teams around the world. Together, they were able to quickly review and edit the content so that the events could be presented for the first time with sign language for all fans to enjoy.

“We couldn’t have done this without Wipster,” says Michael Hale, director, production and technology, H3 World TV. “The platform enabled our team to work in a collaborative setting, creating a smooth process for video review and editing.”
