The Alpine events got off to a slow start at the PyeongChang Olympics, but, once the winds died down, the action returned to the hills. One of the highlights was the ladies’ Super G, which offered some unexpected drama when the final skier on the course, Czechoslovakian Ester Ledecka, surprised everyone by capturing gold.
