Sixty Expands Global Presence With New London office, Two Senior Hires

Sixty announced that it has appointed Adam Bowley as Vice President of Broadcast Technology and Gary Ellis as Vice President of TV Technology. The new appointments will be based at Sixty’s new opened London office in Southbank Central.

The launch of Sixty’s London office and its new hires is representative of the company’s significant growth and business success over the past 12 months. The new appointments will help develop Sixty’s presence as a truly global, interactive TV company and an enabler of highly meaningful and engaging experiences that make a critical first impression on the all-important viewer.

“We are excited to welcome Adam and Gary into our team and to see them lead our business at our new office in London,” says Kjetil Horneland, CEO and founder of Sixty.

“The decision to open our new London office was simple; it’s a reflection of our rising ambition and desire to help broadcasters
engage with their viewers and elevate the viewing experience through interactive technology. Our global presence has grown exponentially over the last few years and Adam and Gary’s experience will play a fundamental role in developing our position in the UK and beyond.”

As Vice President of Broadcast Technology, one of Bowley’s primary objectives will be to help develop Sixty’s innovative broadcast technology across the sports industry and beyond, with a special focus on live broadcast, post-production and OTT platforms. Bowley brings a wealth of experience from his time as Head of Broadcast Data Services at Perform Group, where he focused on graphics and data visualization within traditional and emerging sports broadcasting markets. Prior to joining Perform Group, Adam worked as a Graphic Designer at Sky.

“I’m delighted to be joining the team here at Sixty and I look forward to driving the company’s growing reputation as a market-leading provider of interactive TV and broadcast technology. The recent partnerships and collaborations Sixty have made over the last 12 months shows just how much potential the company has in shaping and influencing the broadcasting sector and how people engage with video content,” Bowley says.

As Vice President of TV Technology at Sixty, Ellis will help develop the company’s technical architecture and end-to-end IP, broadcast and on-demand systems. Gary arrives from Altibox, a partner of Sixty, where he was Program Director. Prior to this position, he held the role of CTO at Exset UK.

“Having previously worked with the Sixty team during my time at Altibox, I am very familiar with the company’s highly innovative technology and growth potential,” says Ellis.

“I’m thrilled to be part of the company’s expansion into the UK and to play a leading role in founding the London office alongside Adam, particularly at a time when broadcasters are really starting to embrace interactive TV viewing.”
