3g Technologies At 2018 Rolex 24 Hours At Daytona

On Jan. 27 and 28, 3g Wireless was again on hand for one of the most historic events in the world of auto racing, The Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona.

As the official RF provider for the IMSA Series, 3g was tasked with providing 14 paths of on-boards, four RF handheld cameras,
aerial coverage and the audio for five pit reporters. The 24 hours is one of the ultimate tests of man and machine and the 2018 running set new distance records of 2876.48 miles (808 laps).

This type of racing also provides the ultimate test of the durability of RF equipment and throughout the entire 24 hours there were no on-board system failures. This achievement is a testament to the relentless innovation of 3g’s engineering and technical team as they spent countless hours preparing for the extreme challenges of the race and then executing a precision game plan on site.
