YES Network Earns 38 New York Emmy Nominations, Most Of Any Regional Sports Network

The YES Network received 38 New York Emmy nominations this morning, the most of any New York regional sports network, and YES’ third-most Emmy nominations ever. Among those 38 YES nominations were eight in the Talent category, plus New York Yankees baseball season coverage, Yankees pre-and post-game programs and Homegrown: The Path to Pinstripes, the season-long series about the life of top Yankees minor league prospects.

YES also received nominations in high-profile categories such as Technical Achievement, Original Programming, Promos and Graphics. YES now has 474 Emmy nominations since its 2002 launch, and has won 101 Emmys.

“We are both deeply humbled by and greatly appreciative of the recognition bestowed on us by the New York chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences,” says John J. Filippelli, president, production and programming, YES Network.

“We are particularly gratified by the fact that YES was recognized in practically every applicable category. These nominations reflect the tireless, selfless nature of our incredibly talented, dedicated and passionate team here at YES.”
