CBS Sports Delivers Back-to-Back Weekends of Conference Tournament Action

CBS Sports heads into March with back-to-back weekends of conference tournament championship coverage highlighted by five automatic bids awarded to the 2018 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship as the Big Ten, Missouri Valley, American Athletic, Mountain West and Atlantic 10 conferences will crown their champions.

Two automatic bids will be earned this weekend as CBS Sports’ conference tournament coverage begins on March 3 at 2 p.m. ET with semifinal action of the Big Ten tournament, which takes place for the first time ever from Madison Square Garden. The next day at 4:30 p.m. ET, CBS Sports closes out the weekend with the Big Ten championship game and an automatic bid on the line. Jim Nantz, Bill Raftery and Grant Hill have the call with Tracy Wolfson reporting from the sidelines for both semifinals and championship games.

Prior to the Big Ten championship game on March 4, the Missouri Valley Conference championship game airs from the Scottrade Center in St. Louis at 2 p.m. ET with Kevin Harlan and Dan Bonner call the action with reporter John Schriffen on the sidelines.

The following weekend, CBS Sports will broadcast the American Athletic Conference semifinals and championship games for the first time ever with semifinal action taking place on March 10 at 1 p.m.ET from the Amway Center in Orlando. The AAC champion will be crowned on Sunday, March 11 at 3:30 p.m. ET. Nantz, Raftery, Hill and Wolfson have the call for both semifinals and championship games.

CBS Sports’ weekend coverage also includes automatic bids awarded to the Mountain West and Atlantic 10 conferences. The Mountain West championship game tips off on March 10 at 6 p.m. ET from the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas with Kevin Harlan, Reggie Miller and Dan Bonner, along with reporter Evan Washburn, calling the game.

On March 11 at 1 p.m. ET, CBS Sports will broadcast the Atlantic 10 Conference championship game. Ian Eagle and Jim Spanarkel, along with reporter Allie LaForce, call the action from the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.

CBS Sports’ college basketball coverage on March 3 begins the day with Kentucky-Florida at noon ET. Eagle and Spanarkel call the action from the Exactech Arena in Gainesville, FL. The network’s college basketball coverage on March 4 also begins the day at noon ET with Cincinnati at Wichita State with Andrew Catalon and Steve Lappas announcing the game from the Charles Koch Arena in Wichita, KS.
