Talamas Boston Adds FUJINON Cabrio To Lens Arsenal

Boston-based sales and rental house Talamas has added to its lens inventory a FUJINON Cabrio 25-300mm cine lens. Talamas believes its new zoom will see considerable use in both broadcast (cooking shows, concerts and other live multi-cam scenarios) as well as cine applications (commercials, indie-films, and television productions). The rental house started carrying the PL mount 25-300mm since the end of 2017, and it went out on a three-week rental the day it arrived.

“The beauty of the FUJINON 25-300mm is that it offers a generous focal range and a lot of control for use in both studio and cine-style configurations,” says Dave Talamas, CEO of Talamas. The lens’ credit list includes high-profile dramas like Chicago Med, How to Get Away with Murder, and Madam Secretary.

In addition to its new 25-300mm Cabrio lens, Talamas offers an array of FUJINON Cabrios 20-120mm, 19-90mm, and 85-300mm lenses, along with a myriad FUJINON B4 HD broadcast lenses.

Equipped with a 35mm PL mount, the FUJINON 25-300mm Cabrio lens boasts a high zoom ratio covering the focal length of 25mm to 300mm – giving users the versatility to cover a wide range of shooting environments. The PL 25-300mm covers 31.5mm sensor size on a digital cinema style camera, and supports an optional, detachable servo drive for electric zooming, focusing and iris. Mounting the unit enables remote control of zoom, focus and iris adjustment.  It can be used as a self-contained ENG-style or cine style lens.
