ESPN Hires Chara-Lynn Aguiar As Vice President, Strategy

ESPN announced that Chara-Lynn Aguiar has joined the team as Vice President, Strategy, reporting to Justin Connolly, Executive Vice President of Affiliate Sales & Marketing, Disney and ESPN Media Networks. Based in New York, she will oversee ESPN’s integrated strategy efforts working across all business areas. Aguiar will also serve as a key point of contact with many corporate strategy colleagues across The Walt Disney Company.

“Chara brings a versatile skillset covering – among other things – measurement, distribution, digital and content strategy,” says Connolly. “Her varied experiences are intrinsic to our business strategy efforts during a pivotal time in our industry. We welcome her back to the company and look forward to her leadership around key initiatives that will move ESPN’s business forward.”

Aguiar began her career at The Walt Disney Company in ABC research and has previously worked in distribution strategy for Disney and ESPN Media Networks. Most recently, she was Vice President, Strategy and Content at Fox Sports and before that, Content Partnerships at YouTube.

 Aguiar graduated from UCLA with a bachelor’s degree in economics and international area studies.
