CEI Hits Off-Season Home Run With Master Control HD Upgrade For Lehigh Valley IronPigs

Fans of the Lehigh Valley IronPigs baseball team will see an exciting upgrade of the replay and display systems throughout Coca-Cola Park in Allentown, PA. Communications Engineering Inc. (CEI) has built a new high definition, replay and master control room that will feed game video, player stats and advertising to a new Daktronics video scoreboard and sleek, new fascia boards and other displays around the stadium.
CEI ensured that the new IronPigs master control room housed equipment for HD production including a Ross Carbonite production switcher, Newtek 3Play 425 replay system for instant replay, slow motion and real-time highlight production and a fully loaded Ross Xpression real-time 2D/3D motion graphics system. The production team’s video content will be seen on a bright and beautiful 43’x73’ Daktronics HD video scoreboard as well as on club level first and third base fascia displays, bullpen and pitch speed video boards, time and temperature displays and the home plate video board.

The new master control room also includes a new production console with corner equipment turret, a new monitor wall with Planar displays and terminal support gear from Pakedge, AVP, Mackie, DataVideo, Extron, Armoractive and AJA. CEI also installed a set of fiber trunks to connect the new master control room with the production truck from Service Electric Cable TV, who carry the IronPigs games on TV2. Service Electric is the Coca-Cola Park TV and radio broadcaster and covers nearly every sporting event in the Lehigh Valley.
