STATS Picked by the BIG3 to be The League’s Official Data Provider
STATS announced a two-year contract to become the official data provider for the BIG3, the professional 3-on-3 basketball league featuring a host of former NBA stars.
STATS will collect in-game data and provide live updates for the next two BIG3 seasons via its up-to-the-second data feeds. The BIG3, co-founded by producer, actor and music legend Ice Cube and entertainment executive Jeff Kwatinetz, is entering its second season.
“STATS is proud to be the official data provider for the BIG3 and we look forward to beginning our new partnership with the unique professional basketball league,” says Richard Henderson, chief revenue office at STATS. “BIG3 rosters are littered with former NBA All-Stars, and STATS’ unmatched data will help put the league in front of even more fans around the country.”
STATS will collect and distribute BIG3 data throughout the 10-week season, which starts June 22. BIG3 games are played every Friday night, with each of the league’s eight teams playing from the same venue. Regular-season games will be played at arenas in Houston, Chicago, Oakland, Detroit, Miami, Toronto, Boston and Atlanta, with the playoffs being held in Dallas,and the championship game at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Games will be broadcast to a national audience, with six sets of games appearing on FS1 and the others on FOX. Fans also can stream games through the FOX Sports GO app.
