Amazon Retains Exclusive Streaming Rights to NFL Thursday Night Football
TNF games will be streamed on Amazon Prime Video in 2018 and 2019

The NFL today officially announced that Amazon will return as the league’s exclusive live-streaming partner for its Thursday Night Football package for the 2018 and 2019 seasons. Amazon Prime Video will deliver 11 games this year to its OTT service.
The announcement comes following last year’s debut season on Amazon. The games will be produced by Fox Sports, who swiped up the broadcast rights in a five-year deal earlier this year.
“Amazon was a tremendous partner for Thursday Night Football in 2017, and, as we continue our mission of delivering NFL games to fans whether they watch on television or on digital platforms, we are excited to work with them again for the next two seasons,” said Brian Rolapp, chief media and business officer, NFL, in today’s release. “Having over 100 million Amazon Prime members provides a massive platform to distribute Thursday Night Football digitally, not only to our fans in the United States but also around the world.”
Through Amazon Prime Video, Thursday Night Football games are delivered to more than 100 million Amazon Prime members in more than 200 countries. Games can be streamed on various devices, including Amazon Fire TV and (according to the official NFL release) on Twitch.

Last year, we successfully debuted NFL Thursday Night Football on Prime Video in the U.S. and around the world,” said Jeff Blackburn, SVP, business development and entertainment, Amazon. “We’re thrilled to continue our relationship with the NFL and offer Prime members another two seasons of Thursday Night Football.”
The 2018 slate begins on Sept. 13 in Week 2 when the Baltimore Ravens visit the Cincinnati Bengals exclusively on NFL Network. The 2018 TNF slate of games on Fox/NFL Network/Fox Deportes and Amazon, however, begins Week 4 when the Los Angeles Rams host the Minnesota Vikings on Sept. 27. All Thursday Night Football games are set to kick off at 8:20 p.m. ET.
