SVGW To Host Networking Event in Chicago on June 26

SVGW is hosting its first-ever networking event in Chicago! Join us on Tuesday, June 26 at the Palmer House Hilton for networking, light refreshments, and a Women’s Leadership Roundtable panel featuring leaders from the Chicago sports-production market. The event will take place just prior to the start of SVG’s RSN Summit.

DATE: Tuesday, June 26
TIME: 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. (SVG’s RSN Summit begins at 4:00 p.m.)
LOCATION: Palmer House Hilton, 17 E. Monroe St., Chicago

Current SVGW members and women involved in sports broadcasting, production, and technology at any level are invited to attend. In addition to plenty of networking time, the event will feature a panel discussion:

Women’s Leadership Roundtable: Chicago
After a successful debut at the SVGW Annual Meeting in New York City, the Women’s Leadership Roundtable travels to Chicago! During the panel, we’ll discuss what makes for a good leader. Although there is no one-size-fits-all explanation, executives in the sports-broadcasting industry share many traits that make them effective, efficient, and successful leaders. Learn from industry leaders as they discuss their career trajectories, current challenges, shared characteristics, and future goals in the industry.

Confirmed Panelists:
Kim Beauvais, Big Ten Network, SVP, Human Resources and Business Operations
Sarah Lauch, NBC Sports Chicago, Executive Producer, Original Content

SVGW (formerly SVG’s Women’s Sports Media Initiative) is a networking group that aims to enhance the role of women in the creation, production, and distribution of sports content. Its members are an integral part of the larger SVG community and work for leagues, teams, broadcasters, technology companies, and others. SVGW hosts networking events throughout the year and throughout the country, inviting members to listen, learn, exchange ideas and best practices, and network with other women in the industry.
