Electronic Entertainment Expo: Esports Arena DRIVE to Make Debut at Event
Esports Arena, GameSpot, and Jack in the Box have teamed up for a first-of-its-kind experience at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) featuring the event’s debut of Esports Arena DRIVE from June 12-14 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Microsoft Square at LA Live.
The GameSpot Battle Rig Fueled by Jack in the Box will showcase three days of Battle Royale solo, duo, and squad competitions on the Esports Arena DRIVE stage with participants competing for prizes and giveaways. Players of all ages and skill sets will be welcome to play on the truck’s 10 PC gaming stations, featuring HyperX Cloud Revolver Headsets, as each game is broadcasted with caster analysis and commentary on the rig’s LED screen in front of a live audience. Various celebrity meet-and-greets and autograph sessions will also take place at the truck each day.
“GameSpot is the number one destination for gamers to experience the excitement of E3 both online and in person,” says Ben Howard, Vice President, Programming for GameSpot. “The Battle Rig is a fantastic way for our audience attending the show to meet up with the GameSpot team as well as major gaming celebrities from our E3 stage show, go head-to-head in action-packed battle royale showdowns and relax.”
“Esports Arena DRIVE takes the experience of Esports Arena and brings it right to the fans,” says Tyler Endres, CEO of Esports Arena. “We’re pumped to showcase the world-class abilities of our new mobile arena with GameSpot for a truly unique E3 debut.”
Esports Arena DRIVE made its world premiere during CES in Las Vegas in January and hosted its first competition at the DAYTONA 500 a month later. The 80-foot, 18-wheel, 35-ton semi-trailer unfolds with a push of a button to reveal a self-contained mobile arena featuring a competition stage with full production facilities, a caster studio, social media center, and rooftop VIP lounge.
