Mankato MoonDogs Upgrade Franklin Rogers Park With LED Video Displays by Daktronics

The Mankato MoonDogs opened their 2018 season with a new LED video display manufactured and installed by Daktronics. The new 945-square-foot display was installed this spring and brings additional entertainment to every game at Franklin Rogers Park in Mankato, Minnesota.

“The addition of our new board, in conjunction with the renovation of Franklin Rogers Park, has completely changed and enhanced the atmosphere within our ballpark and we look forward to sharing the excitement with our fans for many years to come,” says MoonDogs Co-Owner Chris Goodell. “We are also very thankful to Joey Hulsebus and the entire Daktronics team, who have been fantastic to work with throughout the installation process.”

The new display measures more than 20 ft. high by 50 ft. wide and features a 15HD pixel layout to bring excellent image clarity and contrast to fans throughout the stadium. The display includes Daktronics industry-leading environmental protection to ensure it operates as expected in any kind of weather.

“This display is a very unique installation that provides a one-of-a-kind experience for the MoonDogs and their fans,” says Joey Hulsebus, Daktronics sales representative. “The team was great to work with on this project and the result is amazing. We’re looking forward to seeing this display entertain fans for years to come.”

The display is capable of variable content zoning allowing it to show one large image or to be divided into multiple zones to show any combination of live video, instant replay, up-to-the-minute statistics, graphics and animations, and sponsorship messages.

Included in the installation, the MoonDogs received a bank of hours for content to be produced by Daktronics Creative Services, an in-house award-winning creative team. The content will be produced at the request of the team.
