ESPN’s X Games Sydney To Feature Game Changer MVP’s ‘Filter Fan Cam’ at Spotless Stadium
Set for October 19-21, 2018, ESPN’s inaugural X Games Sydney from Spotless Stadium will feature enhanced fan-experience elements from Game Changer MVP. The continued partnership follows Game Changer MVP’s work with X Games Aspen 2018 as well as X Games Minneapolis 2018 this year, as the company has now partnered with three of the four X Games events around the world. As part of the continued partnership, “X Games Sydney” will utilize Game Changer MVP’s “Filter Fan Cam” technology with multiple custom filters for fans on-site at the event.
“Having had the honor of working with ESPN for X Games in Aspen and Minneapolis this year, we are thrilled to continue to expand our global reach and provide the best in event entertainment for fans in Sydney,” says Matt Coy, EVP and GM, Game Changer MVP.
The world’s premiere action sports event, “X Games Sydney” will feature more than 200 elite athletes competing at Spotless Stadium for medals and prize money in BMX, Skateboard, Moto X and more. More information on “X Games Sydney” is available at XGames.com.
One of Game Changer MVP’s most popular offerings, its “Filter Fan Cam” software capitalizes on the success of popular social media apps in use today by applying photo filters to live shots of fans during events. The interactive technology features facial recognition tools designed specifically for video board integration as live cameras capture fan images and integrate the creative filters seamlessly for display with zero delay. Applying the interactive filters to live shots has helped numerous organizations and events take their fans’ experience to a new level of engagement and entertainment.
The announcement continues Game Changer MVP’s global expansion, having provided its services recently for the 2018 Australian Football League Grand Final as well as the 2018 Calgary Stampede and events for the French national team at Stade de France. In 2018, Game Changer MVP’s entertainment offerings have also being featured at such events as the 2019 MLB Home Run Derby and All-Star Game. Other partnerships for Game Changer MVP this past year have included top-tier sporting events with the NBA Playoffs for the Oklahoma City Thunder and NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs for the Tampa Bay Lighting and Vegas Golden Knights.
