WSC Sports Helps Bleacher Report Spread Highlights Across App, Social Media Channels

Bleacher Report has expanded its relationship with WSC Sports to create and distribute video highlights of the UEFA (Union of European Football Association) games on Bleacher Report, the Bleacher Report app, and Bleacher Report Live. Previously, WSC Sports and Bleacher Report partnered on video needs for college basketball and football, including personalized highlights for fans based on their college affiliation within the app, as well as March Madness and NBA coverage.

Bleacher Report works with WSC’s machine learning platform to automatically create video highlights of key plays, players, and games based on rules predetermined by Bleacher Report that can be customized and delivered in real time across Bleacher Report, Bleacher Report Live, its app, and social channels. The new relationship covers the Champions League and the Europe League of UEFA.

As the premier digital destination for millennial sports fans, Bleacher Report is committed to bringing new innovations to the way young people consume sports. The WSC Sports’ platform will be added to Bleacher Report’s technology toolkit to deliver short-form video content that exists alongside existing content and live broadcast for a more complete fan experience.

“Bleacher Report is constantly working to bring fans closer to the games and sports they love. WSC Sports’ platform enables us to create customized highlights of every key moment for UEFA fans in real time. Based on the success we’ve seen with pro and college sports, we are excited to bring the same technology to world football fans in the same short-form format we know they love,” says Bennett Spector, VP of Programming for Bleacher Report.

“We are thrilled to expand our partnership with Bleacher Report to cover the UEFA Champions and Europa League,” says Daniel Shichman, Co-Founder and CEO of WSC Sports. “Bleacher Report continues to innovate the fan experience and we are proud to help them bring personalized videos to their fans across all Bleacher Report channels.”
