Syracuse University Extends Digital, Social Media Partnership With IMG

Syracuse University Athletics and IMG are extending their partnership with a long-term agreement for multimedia rights and licensing. Syracuse Director of Athletics John Wildhack and IMG College President Tim Pernetti announced the multi-year contract extension that will maintain and enhance the relationship IMG College has as the exclusive multimedia rights and licensing partner of Syracuse Athletics. The partnership began more than 20 years ago.

“We are pleased to extend our long-standing partnership with IMG College. Working with IMG College provides opportunities to promote all of our teams and student-athletes and engage our many audiences on multiple platforms,” says Wildhack. “The mutually-beneficial agreement gives Syracuse Athletics stability and security in the representation of our multimedia rights and licensing, which are two critical areas for our continued growth and success. We look forward to the working with IMG College in growing the Syracuse brand.”

The partnership provides for innovative opportunities for brands and fans to connect with Syracuse Athletics locally and nationally via digital and social media platforms, the Syracuse IMG Radio Network (which features live broadcasts for football, men’s and women’s basketball, and men’s lacrosse, pre- and post-game shows, and coaches radio shows), game programs, corporate hospitality events, promotional activities at athletics contests, and signage in all home venues. In addition, IMG College Licensing will continue to implement strategic brand management programs with best-in-class licensees.

“For more than two decades, Syracuse has been a true partner in every sense of the word and we are thrilled to continue our multifaceted relationship across multimedia rights and licensing,” says Pernetti. “The extension of this great partnership will allow us to continue delivering solutions that will enhance and promote the Syracuse Athletics brand. Together, we will provide an awesome experience for the University, student-athletes, and Orange fans everywhere.”
