TAG V.S. Authorizes AJA Video Systems Mini Converter as SMPTE ST 2110 Compatible

TAG V. S. announced that following a rigorous testing process, AJA Video Systems’ new IPR-10G-HDMI Mini-Converter has been certified by TAG Labs as a recommended product compatible with the company’s MCM-9000 IP-based multiviewer/monitoring system. TAG has added the device to its exclusive list of hardware that meets TAG Labs’ exceptional level of technical and performance standards.

TAG’s MCM-9000 software-based IP monitoring and multiviewer system supports SMPTE’s recently published ST 2110 suite of standards for managed IP networks that address HD and UHD uncompressed video and audio streams at the inputs and mosaic outputs. AJA’s IPR-10G-HDMI is now certified to receive and decode the mosaic output in SMPTE ST 2110 UHD and format it for output on a full-size HDMI 1.4 interface.

AJA IPR-10G-HDMI extracts a SMPTE ST 2110 essence from an incoming IP stream and presents it for display on HDMI devices. The rugged, fanless Mini-Converter is ideal for placement in a wide range of display scenarios, and includes a 10GigE SFP+ cage for media LAN and 1GigE RJ45 socket for control LAN with a full size HDMI 1.4b video output. The IPR-10G-HDMI supports 1080p up to 60p at YCbCr 4:2:2, a full 10-bit pixel processing pipeline, plus 8-channel embedded audio as well as 2x RCA audio outputs.
