Perform Names Greg Kirkorsky as New Executive Vice President for Americas

Perform, DAZN Group’s B2b sports content business, has appointed new Executive Vice President for Americas, Greg Kirkorsky, strengthening its leadership team as the Perform business prepares for substantial growth in the region. Greg Kirkorsky’s extensive experience and relationships with the biggest brands in sports media and technology are key assets for Perform as interest in its data, content, and betting offerings continues to grow across the Americas.

Kirkorsky led STATS LLC for the past 20 years as Senior Vice President of Sales and Global Partnerships. He helped transition STATS from a U.S. sports data provider to a global leader in sports analytics, content, and software.

In his role, Kirkorsky forged strategic partnerships with ESPN, TheScore, Google, Amazon, Facebook, Verizon/Yahoo, NBC/Comcast, CBS, Fox Sports, Rogers, Microsoft, Snap, Televisa aGlobo, and global team and league partnerships.

Additionally, 2018 saw the U.S. reverse PASPA, lifting a ban on sports betting and opening up opportunities for leagues, teams, and rights holders, to pursue betting as a new means to engage fans and increase revenues state-by-state.

“It’s an exciting time to join Perform, particularly in the Americas region, as we’re sitting on a wealth of data and content that rights holders can leverage to better engage fans, increase revenue streams and ensure the integrity of their respective sports,” says Kirkorsky. “These are huge opportunities, the next frontier, for leagues and teams to explore as they continue evolving the industry to keep pace with the interests, habits, and demands of the changing sports fan.”

“Greg is one of the most experienced and respected executives in the sports content industry in the Americas. Having directly established and managed partnerships with major media, technology companies, properties and rights holders we’re currently working with, and/or in talks to expand or forge new partnerships with, is a tremendous asset. Greg will ‘hit the ground running’ from the start, which is crucial as the industry is moving at light speed right now and we have numerous new opportunities on the table to pursue,” adds Andrew Ashenden, Managing Director, Betting, Perform.

Kirkorsky holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications and a Master of Science in Sports Management from Illinois State University. He participated on the Advisory Board for both the Sports Business Program in the John Cook School of Business at Saint Louis University and the DeVos Sport Business Management Program at the University of Central Florida. He is currently an advisor for Stadia Ventures, in St. Louis, MO.

Kirkorsky resides in Chicago with his wife, Diane, and two children Caden (16) and Morgan (13).
