FloHockey Strengthens Coverage With More Than 200 Games of Atlantic Hockey, Hockey East

FloSports announced two milestone broadcast partnerships with Atlantic Hockey and Hockey East to bring live and on-demand coverage of college hockey’s best student-athletes to FloHockey.tv.

Through the multiyear agreement with Atlantic Hockey, FloHockey will air games through 2022, streaming more than 200 home and away games and spotlighting schools such as Air Force, American International College, Army, Bentley, Canisius, Holy Cross, Mercyhurst, Niagara, Robert Morris, Rochester Institute of Technology, and Sacred Heart.

FloHockey will also broadcast the 2018-19 season playoffs for Hockey East, serving as the exclusive distribution partner. Games will begin March 15, featuring eight teams from the conference who have advanced to the playoffs to compete in one round of best-of-three series.

“We’re excited to bring such elite competition to our fans through the partnerships with Atlantic Hockey and Hockey East,” says Matt Bowlsby, senior director of global rights acquisition, FloSports. “The student-athletes in these conferences represent the highest quality hockey competition in the country, and we look forward to following their stories for many years to come.”

“Given FloSports’ mission to providing high-quality college hockey content, moving AtlanticHockey.tv to FloHockey was the best move for us as a conference,” says Atlantic Hockey Commissioner Robert DeGregorio. “They’ve proven themselves to be a dedicated partner from the moment we met and I am confident that, together, the next four years on FloHockey will increase the league’s exposure and showcase the talent and quality of play our teams possess.”

As one of the premier college conferences in the country, Division I Hockey East features 11 teams from schools including: University of Massachusetts, Boston College, Northeastern University, Providence College, Boston University, University of Massachusetts Lowell, University of Maine, University of New Hampshire, Merrimack College, University of Connecticut, and University of Vermont.

“This partnership with FloSports will enhance our 2019 post-season, primarily for our Hockey East fans but for college hockey in general,” says Hockey East commissioner Joe Bertagna. “Given that we are celebrating our 35th season, this agreement is consistent with 35 years of innovation and growth for our conference.”

These deals further cement FloHockey as the No. 1 destination for college hockey with more than 1,000 college hockey games broadcasted from the Big Ten, WCHA, NCHC, and now Atlantic Hockey and Hockey East. Nearly all of the current Top 10 ranked schools in college hockey will be on FloHockey in 2019.

“We are dedicated to bringing the best in college sports to our audience,” says David Weiss, SVP Global Rights Acquisition, FloSports. “These new offerings will enable us to continue serving as the leading destination for college hockey fans and we look forward to continuing this momentum in 2019.”
