BVE 2019: TAG V.S. To Show Off MCM-9000 Multiviewer, Monitoring System

TAG V.S. (stand G30-POD 9) is returning to BVE, the UK’s leading broadcast, production and media tech event, with an expanded team dedicated to serving the key UK market. Visitors will find Adi Itzhaki, TAG’s new VP Sales EMEA, and the company’s UK partner, Techex, will present the advanced capabilities of TAG’s software-only MCM-9000 IP-based Multiviewer and Monitoring system.

“This year’s show promises to be our most exciting BVE yet,” exclaims Abe Zerbib, TAG V.S. CEO. “This is the first time our new VP Sales EMEA, Adi Itzhaki, will join our outstanding UK partner Techex at a major event. We’re thrilled to demonstrate our dedication to this key market with not only the most advanced and unique Multiviewer and monitoring solution on the planet – our MCM-9000 platform, but also with strengthened resources to serve our customers better and faster. Adi has hit the ground running with support for our current base and he’s ensuring that the market knows how TAG is changing the way media is viewed!”

TAG’s MCM-9000 will comprise the heart of the exhibit space with demonstrations of the platform’s amazing capabilities highlighted on a mosaic video display. The software only, all IP-based UHD Multiviewer and Monitoring system features extremely low latency and is uniquely optimized to address the new SMPTE ST-2110 standard in HD and UHD. Support of multiple formats: compressed, uncompressed, and OTT (HLS and MPEG-DASH), all on the same platform, enables the MCM-9000 to adapt to the changing needs of the user without having to change equipment. And because the software and licenses remain the same as hardware is replaced, costs are minimized over the life span of the product.

The entire scalable solution runs on COTS hardware and is supplied on a Dongle equipped with a reliable and stable Linux kernel. The system boots directly from the provided flash, which requires no installation, no hard drive, or any type of Operating System on the server. The system also functions fully in a Virtual Machine (VM) environment with a VM image provided instead of a dongle.
