BVE 2019: Telos Alliance Rolls Out Full Line of Broadcast Audio Technologies

The Telos Alliance will showcase its latest innovations in audio technology for the broadcast market at BVE 2019 (stand H54), where the company will be exhibiting with dealer Broadcast Bionics.

The new Axia iQx AoIP console

Featured solutions include: the UK debut of the new Axia iQx AoIP Broadcast Console and the Linear Acoustic ARC Television Loudness Processor; the Omnia.9 audio processor for AM, FM, HD/DAB, and streaming audio; the Telos VX Enterprise Broadcast VoIP Phone System; the Telos Infinity AoIP Intercom solution; the Minnetonka AudioTools Server collection of automated file-based audio processors, and Omnia VOLT Radio Processor. These latest breakthroughs deliver unprecedented versatility, cost-efficiency, and performance to a wide range of broadcast audio applications, while maintaining the uncompromised audio quality that is the core value of the Telos Alliance.

“The industry is experiencing a new golden age for all types of audio content,” says Marty Sacks, VP of Sales, Support, and Marketing at the Telos Alliance. “The Telos Alliance is excited to give customers options for how to make it the best whether creating, processing, distributing or broadcasting it.”

The new Axia iQx AoIP Console uniquely combines a control surface and mix engine into a single compact, cost-efficient unit, providing fast and easy access to every AES67-compliant networked source and device. By combining the mix engine and surface into a single desktop unit configuration, the Axia iQx AoIP Console dramatically reduces equipment and installation costs and streamlines studio design. The AES67-compliant console fully supports emerging standards, including SMPTE 2110-30, and can access any audio AoIP source, anywhere on the network, from anywhere in the world.

The Linear Acoustic ARC (Automatic Real-time Control) Television Loudness Processor is specifically engineered for a wide range of users in the EU and various global markets. Linear Acoustic ARC offers up to four program, 2-channel (stereo) processing, with selectable profiles for easy compliance with global loudness standards including EBU R128. ARC makes use of the company’s next generation APTO adaptive loudness processing for outstanding results in real time applications as well as for offline file preparation, allowing users to “set and forget” the desired LUFS output loudness target. And, because it natively supports Livewire+ AES67, Linear Acoustic ARC seamlessly connects with other AoIP products and is SMPTE 2110 compliant.

Omnia.9 is a multi-transmission platform audio processor that can be configured for FM/AM, dual FM, up to 3 DAB signals, and a separate streaming engine all in one 3RU chassis. With the clear, clean sound for which the Omnia.9 is known, this processor is the choice of stations from classical to hot CHR and everything in between. The newest MKII upgrade includes Livewire+ AES67 I/O, an even more advanced final clipper, additional logging capabilities, and Kantar watermarking.

Telos VX Enterprise VoIP (Voice over IP) talkshow system is the next evolution of the Telos VX VoIP phone system with built-in support for AES67 in a new 1RU hardware unit. Additionally, support for the G.722 voice codec ensures high quality calls from supported mobile devices. With capacity expandable up to 120 hybrids/faders, VX Enterprise is ideal for medium to large facilities and can grow with a station over time.

Telos Infinity IP Intercom converges voice communication and contribution audio on a single IT backbone, employing the latest standards-based VoIP and Livewire+ AES67 AoIP protocols. By eliminating the need for a conventional central matrix, the long-standing issue of running out of ports is eliminated. And because it is built on a system of distributed DSP, Telos Infinityis a dynamic, self-healing design that provides more capacity as the system grows. Because it is natively Livewire+ AES67 compliant, it enjoys all of the associated advantages including reduced cabling and lower cost of ownership.

Minnetonka AudioTools Server is a collection of enterprise-ready audio solutions designed to add file-based expertise to automated environments. The AudioTools Server family represents decades of expertise encapsulated in flexible, focused packages of audio specialization. AudioTools Server automates sophisticated audio tasks and offers a wide variety of processing, specifically created for use in cable, satellite, terrestrial and IPTV, radio, and post production facilities. As a pure software platform running on commodity hardware, including VM or cloud deployment, AudioTools Server is flexible and customizable, allowing for new workflows as requirements inevitably change.

Omnia VOLT is a Radio Processing Powerhouse, empowering smaller stations with big-market sound from a low-cost Omnia processor. Flexible and versatile, VOLT can be an AM, FM, HD/DAB or streaming processor or stereo generator, depending on which software is loaded. Its unique QuickTweak system allows users to dial in the sound they want quickly and easily.
