ESPN Busts Into Gambling With Studio Show Daily Wager on ESPNEWS

One-hour program will air weeknights from a studio in Bristol, CT

ESPN is the latest to enter the race to offer original programming around the world of sports betting. Beginning on March 11, ESPN will debut a one-hour studio show called Daily Wager, which will air every weeknight at 6 p.m. ET on ESPNEWS and stream live on the ESPN App.

Daily Wager will air weeknights on ESPNEWS beginning March 11 and will be hosted by sports-betting analyst Doug Kezirian.

The show, which will be produced from ESPN’s mothership in Bristol, CT, will be hosted by sports-betting analyst Doug Kezirian and feature numerous guests from the ESPN ranks to analyze point spreads, bad beats, and the news and notes affecting the day’s betting lines across all major sports.

“ESPN’s mission is to serve sports fans,” Norby Williamson, EVP/executive editor, studio production, ESPN, said in an official release on Friday. “The sports-betting environment has changed, and interest is increasing at unprecedented levels. ESPN is going to have a strong and vibrant presence across our platforms, and the launch of Daily Wager is the next step in what has already been under way for some time.”

ESPN’s production teams will leverage the company’s robust stats and information resources to fill the screen with various graphics related to betting lines, news, tips, and much more. Sports-wagering experts will also be making picks on the program; ESPN reporters and analysts will provide information and insight but will not be making picks.
