Jeff Zucker Takes Helm as Chairman, News & Sports In Massive WarnerMedia Shakeup

Along with CNN family, WarnerMedia News & Sports division to include Turner Sports, Bleacher Report and the AT&T Regional Sports Networks.

On Monday, WarnerMedia unveiled the plans behind its major restructuring that will see mega sports video properties like Turner Sports, Bleacher Report, and AT&T Sports Networks come under new leadership.

Among the new divisions of WarnerMedia will include WarnerMedia News & Sports of which CNN President Jeff Zucker will serve as CEO. WarnerMedia News & Sports will include Turner Sports, Bleacher Report and the AT&T Regional Sports Networks, in addition to CNN Worldwide (CNN, CNN.com, CNN International, CNN en Español, HLN, Great Big Story). Jeff Zucker will continue to lead CNN and now run this expanded organization to “capitalize on the importance of live news and sports content.”

CNN President Jeff Zucker will become Chairman, of the new WarnerMedia News & Sports division.

Also as part of the organizational announcement, Robert Greenblatt – who was most recently Chairman for NBC Entertainment – will be Chairman, WarnerMedia Entertainment and Direct-to-Consumer. That group will include HBO, TNT, TBS, and truTV, in addition to the company’s Direct-to-Consumer business. Gerhard Zeiler has been elevated from President, Turner International to WarnerMedia Chief Revenue Officer. Kevin Tsujihara, meanwhile, continues as Chairman and CEO, Warner Bros. with additional responsibilities including a new global kids and young adults business.
