Telemundo’s Miami Broadcast Center To Host SVG IP Production Forum on Aug. 20

The Aug. 20 event will offer a facility tour and coincide with the inaugural SVG Soccer Summit the following day

The 2019 SVG IP Production Forum will be held at Telemundo’s broadcast center in Miami on Aug. 20. The event, timed to coincide with the inaugural SVG Soccer Summit the next day at Mediapro, will give attendees a chance to tour the Telemundo facility and learn about the current state of the transition to IP-based production.

Opened last year, the Telemundo Center is an approximately 500,000-sq.-ft. facility on 21 acres, with the capacity to house 1,500 employees. Producing original content, driving one-of-a-kind digital experiences, and educating the next generation of media leaders, the facility is the epicenter of Hispanic activity and represents the leading authority on the fastest-growing demographic in the U.S.

“The Telemundo Center quickly took the network into a new age of IP-based production services that tie together its world-class studios and programming,” says Ken Kerschbaumer, co-executive director, editorial services, SVG. “We’re very happy that SVG members and sponsors will be able to see it up close and learn how the facility became a reality.”

Along with the facility tour, attendees will have the opportunity to learn during a series of keynotes, case studies, and panel discussions.

Topics on the agenda:

  • When Hype Meets Reality: Making the Move to IP
  • Weighing Your IP Options: Knowing Which Protocol Is Best for Your Needs
