Sportradar, SportsGrid To Launch Free, 24-Hour Sports-Betting Network
The first free, round-the-clock, sports-betting network in the U.S. is officially on its way. Sports-data provider Sportradar and sports-betting/daily fantasy programmer SportsGrid have announced a partnership to launch a free, 24-hour network dedicated to the sports betting audience. The partnership marries Sportradar’s ad tech, OTT technology and data with SportsGrid’s original programming featuring coverage and analysis of stats and odds across professional sports.
Last May, the U.S. Supreme Court lifted the federal ban on sports gambling, giving states the go-ahead to allow betting on sports. Since then, legal sportsbooks have opened in more than a half dozen states with several more states expected to legalize sports-betting in the near future. The new SportRadar/SportsGrid gambling network will look to take advantage of this growing momentum behind legalized sports betting. The new 24-hour network will join VSiN (Vegas Stats & Information Network), which launched in 2017, in this burgeoning market of sports-betting networks.
Sportradar is the official data partner of the NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB, NASCAR, FIFA and UEFA, monitoring, analyzing and delivering insights from more than 400,000 matches annually across 60 sports. The new partnership will incorporate Sportradar’s release of ad:s, a service that provides bookmakers with marketing solutions aimed at eliminating waste and streamlining their marketing spend. This new offering will allow bookmakers and brands looking to reach the betting community, a native opportunity to do so through sponsorship of programming as well as targeted ad spends across video & audio inventory.
