Remembering Mickey Wittman: A Tribute to a Sports-Production Legend

The iconic Sports Broadcasting Hall of Famer died June 4

Sports Broadcasting Hall of Famer and father of aerial sports broadcasting Michael “Mickey” Alexander Wittman died on June 4, at the age of 74.

During his career, he directed the iconic Goodyear Blimp in covering more than 2,500 sports events, including six Olympics, 30 World Series, 26 Super Bowls, and countless college football games.
