Andy Scott Named First General Manager of ES Broadcast Hire

ES Broadcast Hire has expanded its senior management team in the UK with the recruitment of Andy Scott as the company’s first general manager.

The appointment is the latest in a series of expansions to ES Broadcast Hire’s workforce, with new offices in Italy and the US also having opened since the turn of the year. Scott will be responsible for all day-to-day operations in the company’s UK offices in Watford and Salford, which will afford more time for Managing Director Warren Taggart to devote to strategic developments.

A key focus of the role will be to review and improve the company’s business processes – in which Scott has a wealth of experience. In his previous role at ARRI Rental, he pioneered the roll-out of several new business systems that were adopted in divisions across the world. His time at ARRI – a total of almost 23 years, spanning roles from camera technician to camera operations manager – also saw him drive the division’s acquisition policy, ensuring there was appropriate stock to meet customer demand.

As well as managing the UK hire team, Scott will look to implement further efficiencies in the company’s logistics and inventory management processes. His experience in managing the strategic acquisition associated with a large hire fleet will also enable him to play a lead role in determining key priorities for ES Broadcast Hire’s ongoing expansion of its market-leading UHD inventory.

“I am delighted to have secured Andy’s services as General Manager,” said Taggart. “He boasts an impressive track record of streamlining business processes and strategic asset acquisition. I am convinced he will have a positive impact on the company, as we strive to consolidate and continue the significant growth of the last couple of years.”

“After 23 years in the cine market, I am excited to make the move into broadcast,” added Scott. “I am looking forward to applying my experience to help ES Broadcast Hire reach even greater heights of success in the near future.”
