The latest in the SVG College Regional Event Series takes us back to Boston and the campus of Harvard University on Oct. 30 for SVG College: Boston.

Network with some of the top college-sports-video-content creators in the area, tour the Crimson’s innovative broadcast and in-venue production facilities built around IP technologies, learn how the Harvard’s video team deploys automated production models to stream sports like tennis and squash, and become part of the SVG College family at this intimate professional networking event.

1:45 – 2:30 p.m. TOUR: Harvard Athletics Broadcast Facilities
Take an in-depth, tech-centric tour of Harvard’s video-production-control rooms. The Bright-Landry Hockey Center control room, which is fibered into historic Harvard Stadium, provides coverage for all events at the rink and the stadium with the capability to run two separate shows simultaneously. Also see the Lavietes Pavilion control room, which was built two years ago and has full NDI capabilities. It can produce any of the school’s 42 sports. Also, check out special automated workflows behind live productions of tennis and squash.

The SVG College Regional Event Series is a recurring series of half-day programs hosted on various campuses across the country that have demonstrated a commitment to and investment in live video production. The gatherings are designed to bring together content creators and production-technology specialists with some of the industry’s top technology vendors to discuss best practices for all levels of production expertise. Seasoned veterans share their experiences and help guide those looking to dive headfirst into the exciting world of video production in college athletics.
