Daktronics Upgrades Iowa’s Tyson Events Center With Four LED Displays

Daktronics has partnered with Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, Iowa, to provide four new LED displays. A new main video display and three LED ribbon boards were installed this fall to enhance the live event experience for visitors.

“The new high-resolution enhancements throughout the arena will provide visual displays that will be unique to our market,” said Spectra’s Tim Savona, general manager of the Tyson Events Center. “The installation of these cutting-edge display boards reflect a desire to enhance the community’s experience at the Tyson Events Center, and allow them to actively participate and engage in the events like never before.”

The new main video display is mounted to the end wall of the facility and measures 28 feet high by 44 feet wide. It features 10-millimeter line spacing to bring crisp, clear imagery to every seat of the venue. The display is capable of variable content zoning allowing it to show one large image or to be divided into multiple zones to show a combination of live video, instant replay, up-to-the-minute statistics, graphics and animations, and sponsorship messages.

“We are excited about once again partnering with the Tyson Events Center and the City of Sioux City on this exciting display upgrade,” said Matt Warnke, Daktronics sales representative. “This new system will greatly enhance the fan experience. We look forward to the many upcoming events where the system is used.”

Along the seating fascia on each side of the venue, new ribbon displays will be installed. Two will measure 3 feet high by 195 feet in length and an additional ribbon display will measure 3 feet high by 28 feet in length. All three will feature 15-millimeter line spacing to provide supplemental content to the main display and allow the opportunity to highlight sponsors throughout events.

In addition to the equipment installation, Tyson Events Center will also receive a content package that will be produced and delivered by Daktronics Creative Services.
