MediaKind Names Former Comcast Exec Allen Broome as Its New CTO

Media exec brings with him more than 20 years worth of media technology experience

One of the market’s leading drivers of innovation and developers of media technology solutions,  MediaKind announced the appointment of its new CTO on Monday. Allen Broome, the former VP, Cloud Engineering at Comcast Cable, takes the post and brings with him more than two decades worth of experience in the industry.

“Over the past year I have seen how MediaKind has developed and I am excited to be joining the highly talented team as we consolidate the company’s pioneering heritage and unique position in leading the future of global media technology,” Broome said in an official release. “I am driven by the opportunity to help MediaKind’s customers define the future of the entertainment industry by creating and delivering faster, smarter, and more efficient media experiences for everyone, everywhere.”

According to the company, Broome “will play a fundamental role in fostering dynamic industry collaboration, with a goal to further enhance all aspects of video delivery and user experience.” Broome is expected to see much of his focus driven towards guiding MediaKind’s technological vision of broadcast-quality OTT streaming and cloud-native systems that shorten deployment timelines.

Broome reports directly to Ruiz and works alongside Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer, Mark Russell.
