NAB NY 2019: Ross Video Debuts 4K Master Control Solution, Nielsen Watermark Encoder

Ross Video is exhibiting at NAB Show New York this week (Oct. 16-17) and demonstrating a range of high impact, high efficiency solutions for the live production industry. Ross is also launching two new solutions at the event – MC1 UHD and NWE-IP.

MC1 UHD is a new 4K master control and branding solution. Adapted from Ross Video’s MC1 system for master control in broadcast applications, MC1 UHD supports HD and UHD workflows. The solution scales from stand-alone branding to multi-channel master control installations, now including two external Key/Fill. It adapts easily to manual or automated control. MC1 UHD is an ideal solution for customers requiring high-quality HD or UHD master control and branding with low latency, multiple keyers, logo store, and 24/7 reliability. Users can integrate the MC1 with their chosen automation system, router, and graphics system with a variety of control and media transfer protocols.

NWE-IP is the new Nielsen Watermark Encoder for IP Networks. The standalone NWE-IP carries peace of mind at the final stages of the signal chain. The Nielsen Watermark Encoder IP solves TV stations’ watermarking needs in broadcast and playout workflows where native IP and low-latency processing are required. NWE-IP supports latest IP standards SMPTE ST2110-30 & AES67 allowing customers to deploy either IP-native or IP-ready infrastructures.

Ross Video will be on booth N413 throughout the event with a range of solutions for live production professionals, with a particular emphasis this year on sports/live events and news workflows. The sports and live events area of the booth will feature a solution comprising the Carbonite Ultra production switcher, Ross Video’s compact PIVOTCam cameras and the XPression real-time graphics platform. Our newsroom workflow area will combine the powerful Graphite all-in-one production solution (which includes a real Carbonite switcher, XPression graphics and RAVE audio mixer) with OverDrive – the industry’s most popular solution for production automation – and Lightning, the flexible and easy-to-use meeting control system that’s ideal for legislative assembly, house of worship, education and corporate broadcasts.
