SMPTE 2019: TAG Video Systems Heads West After Busy East-Coast Trek
Following an action-packed week on the East Coast at VSF, SVG, and NAB NY, TAG Video Systems is on its way out West to show bi-coastal support for the media and entertainment industry. TAG has revealed plans to not only bring its integrated software-based IP probing, monitoring and multiviewer solutions to SMPTE 2019, it it will also sponsor the Tuesday Happy Hour from 5:30 to 6:30 in the Exhibit Hall.
“After several incredibly successful events in New York, we are now excited to share our message with technology leaders in California,” says Abe Zerbib, TAG CEO. “SMPTE gives us the opportunity to share the secret of how TAG serves the entire video ecosystem with one solution, one price, anywhere, anytime across the entire video ecosystem (Live production, Playout, Delivery and OTT).”
TAG’s solution meets the diverse needs of the broadcast ecosystem and allows the customer to decide what features they want to deploy at what location and time – a development the company is calling Zer0 Friction and says is first of its kind.
Kevin Joyce, TAG Chief Commercial Officer adds: “This year has been pivotal for TAG; we’ve gone from a company that most thought of as just another Multiviewer manufacturer to be recognized as a true industry visionary and provider of the world’s first and only 100% Software, 100% IP solution capable of running on standard off-the-shelf-hardware for all four primary video applications: Live Production, Playout, Distribution and OTT. Now, that’s reason to celebrate and we couldn’t be happier than to sponsor Happy Hour on Tuesday and share with our industry colleagues.”
TAG will also be demonstrating its platform with double capacity for ST 2110 at SMPTE, an improvement unveiled at IBC. Capacity is critical when dealing with uncompressed 2110 IP inputs and outputs, and doubling the capacity results in less hardware required, increased ROI, and reduced latency to one frame per second, or less – an important feature for live production.
TAG’s cross-application solution is currently supporting over 40,000 channels successfully in facilities around the globe underscoring the adoption of the Company’s unique 100% software approach to Probing, Monitoring and Multiviewing for live production, playout, distribution, and OTT in an all-IP ecosystem.
