NBC Sports Chicago, NBC 5 / WMAQ and Telemundo Chicago / WSNS have named Jill Fields Senior Vice President of Ad Sales, effective immediately. In this new role, Fields will oversee multi-platform ad sales for all three networks. She will dual report to Kevin Cross, SVP and GM, NBC Sports Chicago, and David Doebler, President, NBC 5 and Telemundo Chicago. The announcement was made by Bill Bridgen, President, Group Leader, NBC Sports Regional Networks, and Doebler.

“Jill is a proven ad sales executive and well-respected leader, with valuable relationships in the Chicago marketplace,” said Bridgen. “Her expanded role will be an asset to realize greater potential for NBC Sports Chicago, all of NBCUniversal’s local Chicago businesses overall, as well as our clients.”

“With Jill at the helm of our stations and RSN sales operations, our clients will experience the unfettered synergies that our local businesses can provide them through our unequaled consumer reach that includes bilingual consumers,” said Doebler. “I am excited for Jill to help us strengthen our already strong sales operations in her new role.”

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to be able to work with the talented sales teams at NBC 5, Telemundo Chicago, and NBC Sports Chicago,” said Fields. “Together, we will be a stronger, more comprehensive multi-platform local destination for our clients and for our business, and I can’t wait to get started.”

A two-decade ad sales veteran, Fields has served as VP & General Sales Manager of NBC Sports Chicago since 2017, and National Sales Manager from 2012 to 2017. Previously, she served as an Account Executive for Home Team Sports (HTS), a division of Fox Sports in New York (2002-2012). There, she helped drive multi-million dollar advertising and marketing campaigns for key national clients, and helped foster and develop sales partnerships extending to more than 35 regional sports networks and professional sports teams and leagues, including MLB, NBA, NHL, and numerous collegiate conferences. Prior to joining their New York headquarters, Fields spent four years at the HTS division in Los Angeles (1998-2002).
