Fox Sports Promotes Zach Dillard, Paxton Elrod, Cristy Fernandez to Drive Digital Content

The Fox Sports regional networks serving the Southeast – Fox Sports South, Fox Sports Southeast, FoxSports Carolinas, and Fox Sports Tennessee – have announced their new digital content team. Zach Dillard has been promoted to digital content manager, Paxton Elrod has been named social media content producer and host, and Cristy Fernandez has been promoted to digital content producer/editor. All three will be based in Atlanta.

Zach Dillard

Dillard will be responsible for the development and execution of digital and social media strategies for the networks. In his expanded role, he will manage all social media content across the networks’ portfolio of accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter (@FOXSportsSouth, @FOXSportsBraves, @CanesOnFSCR, @PredsOnFSTN, @GrizzliesOnFSSE, @HawksOnFSSE, and @HornetsOnFSSE). Dillard will also lead of team of in-house and freelance digital content contributors. He will report to Colleen Sullivan, coordinating producer of original content for the networks.

Elrod will be responsible for the generation of short-form content while serving as a host for all digital and social media platforms. She will also work alongside Dillard to drive the expansion of the networks’ digital footprint. Elrod will report to Dillard.

Paxton Elrod

Fernandez will serve as lead digital producer and editor, responsible for conceptualization and production of all short-form content and series across the networks’ portfolio. Fernandez will also report to Dillard.

Dillard joined Fox Sports in 2012 and is no stranger to sports fans as the host of the networks’ podcast and digital series Chopcast LIVE for the past six seasons. During his time with Fox Sports, Dillard has been instrumental in the development of the networks’ social media platforms, contributing to double-digit growth over the last two years. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia and a member of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America.

Cristy Fernandez

Elrod joins the networks from Fox Sports Arizona where she served as digital content host/producer. Prior to Fox Sports Arizona, Elrod held social media producer and host roles with both Thrillist and Complex Networks. She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee.

Fernandez joined Fox Sports in 2017 and has been an integral part of the networks’ production team, contributing features and original content across both linear and digital platforms. Prior to Fox Sports, she held production roles with the New Orleans Saints/New Orleans Pelicans and Seminole Productions at Florida State University. Additionally, her documentary A is for Armed placed first in the 2016 Ft. Lauderdale International Film Festival (Best Collegiate Documentary). Fernandez is a graduate of Florida State University.
