SVG Summit: ESPN Reflects on the Herculean Task of Launching the ACC Network

How the network readied its own presence to accompany the 15-school, conference-wide build out

When ESPN launched the ACC Network, the new 24/7 national network dedicated to ACC sports, in August, it bolstered its expansive college sports coverage. It involved collaborative work and planning with personnel from across the ACC’s 15 institutions.

At the 2019 SVG Summit, ESPN executives Meg Aronowitz, Aaron Katzman, and Amy Rosenfeld,  discussed what it takes to launch a new comprehensive network in an age where linear TV and digital distribution require a steady stream of content along with new and efficient philosophies on production and operations.
