VITAC Issues Statement in Times of Uncertainty

VITAC has issued a statement to its customers in this time of uncertainty.

As we continue to monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) and follow guidance from leading government and health authorities, we want you to know that VITAC is open for business and ready to help with any of your captioning and accessibility needs.

While several state and local governments have ordered many businesses to close, they’ve created a specific exception for companies like VITAC that provide a vital, essential public service. Our clients and consumers depend on us for accessible communications, and that’s never more crucial than during emergency situations and times of crisis. It’s a responsibility that VITAC takes very seriously.

We have in place a series of emergency preparedness procedures and contingency plans that provide 24/7 captioning coverage during any situation, and we are committed to taking the steps necessary to assure the deaf and hard-of-hearing community that critical news and updates are available and accessible at all times.

Additionally, we have enacted policies to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus. All VITAC employees have been advised of CDC recommendations for proper office and personal sanitation, are practicing social distancing, and are refraining from unnecessary travel.

We promise to continue offering the same easy, user-friendly solutions that you’ve come to expect from us. As always, we are here for you, and we will continue to do our best to serve you during these uncertain days.
