Ubisoft, FACEIT Enter Multi-Year Partnership for Rainbow Six Esports

FACEIT has revealed its multi-year partnership with Ubisoft to further develop the esports ecosystem for Rainbow Six Siege in North America. The strategic partnership will see FACEIT work with Ubisoft across all verticals of the esport, from broadcast, media rights, and event production, to content and grassroots programs that will create a robust competitive ecosystem for Rainbow Six Siege to ensure its continued growth and sustainability.

FACEIT will leverage their expertise across the board on esports content, events, digital products, data, media distribution, and provide foundational support as the largest esports platform globally. Starting with event production, FACEIT will manage all competitions in North America, including the recently revealed Rainbow Six North American League and its offline US Division LAN program, all Rainbow Six Majors in North America, as well as the US and Canada Division Challenger Leagues powered by FACEIT. With the US Division LAN program in Las Vegas and players onsite at the new studio and facilities, FACEIT will take the opportunity to create unique and compelling content for fans by bringing team rivalries and player triumphs to life. FACEIT will manage all operations for each of the North American products, advising on the program design, brand integration, data integration, broadcast production, and content distribution with the goal of bringing a fresh approach to storytelling and fan engagement while building a sustainable commercial model.

“We are incredibly excited to partner with Ubisoft and to help develop the Rainbow Six Esports structure in North America. This full service partnership will see us merging all verticals of what FACEIT has to offer,” said Michele Attisani, Co-Founder and CBO of FACEIT. “Developing competitive ecosystems has always been a core objective of FACEIT as we recognize that this is vital for building sustainable esports programs. FACEIT has always focused on delivering entertaining content for fans and opportunities for players of all levels and this is exactly what we are looking to achieve for the Rainbow Six community.”

The community, content, and creation of competitive layers with a clear path to pro format will be at the core of the partnership with FACEIT, who brings years of experience designing and executing new programs such as the revamped US and Canada Division Challenger Leagues. Dedicated to promoting a healthy player ecosystem, eight aspiring challenger teams and players in each country will have an opportunity to break into the North American League each year with the first North American League Finals taking place in December. The US and Canada Division Challenger Leagues will also be hosted on the FACEIT platform and will provide up and coming teams with a chance to practice all year round.

Continuing to leverage the FACEIT platform, a new FPL will be established for the Rainbow Six community. The FPL is a program that produced more than 15 professional players in CS:GO by allowing pros and aspiring players to get matched together through a solo ladder and providing players with the opportunity to be scouted. For the first time FACEIT will create an FPL in partnership with a video game publisher. This will be the first step in a series of programs that aim to offer accessible competitive experiences for anyone, allowing the North American Rainbow Six Esports program to truly connect from a pro to grassroots level. The FACEIT platform will also provide the Rainbow Six community, teams, influencers, and the 15,000 tournament organizers who use the platform with the tools to create and curate their own experiences, including managing their own competitive programs, ensuring continuous content opportunities to help the ecosystem grow.

“When we set out to create the new Rainbow Six Siege North American League, we searched high and low for a partner that could hit the aspirational editorial and production quality we required for an offline league,” said Che Chou, Senior Director of Esports for Ubisoft NCSA. “FACEIT stood out as an obvious choice given their deep industry experience and impressive content portfolio. Combined with their robust tournament platform, FACEIT brings the complete package of production expertise and technology to elevate Rainbow Six esports to the next level in North America.”
